श्रीरुवाच प्रकीर्ण भाजनं यत्र भिन्नभाण्डमथासनम्‌ । योषितश्वैव हन्यते कश्मलोपहते गृहे

Transliteration

śrīr uvāca—prakīrṇa-bhājanaṃ yatra bhinna-bhāṇḍam atha āsanam | yoṣitaś caiva hanyate kaśmalopahate gṛhe ||

Translation

ଶ୍ରୀ (ଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀ) କହିଲେ—ଯେଉଁ ଘରେ ପାତ୍ରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଛିଟିଯାଇ ପଡ଼ିଥାଏ, ବାସନ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଥାଏ, ଆସନ ଫାଟିଥାଏ, ଏବଂ ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପିଟାଯାଏ ଓ ଅପମାନ କରାଯାଏ—ସେ ଗୃହ ପାପରେ ଦୂଷିତ ହୁଏ। ଏପରି ଦୂଷିତ ଗୃହରୁ ଉତ୍ସବ ଓ ପର୍ବ ସମୟରେ ଦେବତା ଓ ପିତୃମାନେ ନିରାଶ ହୋଇ ଫେରିଯାଆନ୍ତି; ସେଠାର ପୂଜା ସେମାନେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
