आप ही प्राणियोंकी सृष्टि करते हैं, आप ही समस्त प्रजाका संहार करते हैं और आप ही मनुष्योंसहित सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंकी सनातन प्रकृति (मूल कारण) हैं ।।
bhīṣma uvāca | samprahasya tato viṣṇur idaṃ vacanam abravīt | cakreṇa nihatā daityāḥ padbhyāṃ krāntā vasundharā | varāharūpaṃ dhṛtvā hiraṇyākṣo nipātitaḥ | vāmanabrāhmaṇarūpeṇa baliḥ jitavān mayā |
ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ତାପରେ ଭଗବାନ ବିଷ୍ଣୁ ହସି କହିଲେ—ଦେବରାଜ! ମୁଁ ଚକ୍ରଦ୍ୱାରା ଦୈତ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିହତ କରିଛି; ମୋର ଦୁଇ ପଦକ୍ଷେପରେ ପୃଥିବୀକୁ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରିଛି। ବରାହରୂପ ଧାରଣ କରି ମୁଁ ହିରଣ୍ୟାକ୍ଷକୁ ପତିତ କରିଛି; ଏବଂ ବାମନ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣରୂପ ନେଇ ମୁଁ ରାଜା ବଳିକୁ ବଶ କରିଛି।
