अहिंस्नरस्य तपो$क्षय्यमहिंसत्रो यजते सदा । अहिंस्र: सर्वभूतानां यथा माता यथा पिता

Transliteration

ahiṁsā-narasya tapo 'kṣayyam ahiṁsā-tro yajate sadā | ahiṁsraḥ sarva-bhūtānāṁ yathā mātā yathā pitā ||

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ଅହିଂସାନିଷ୍ଠ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିର ତପ ଅକ୍ଷୟ ହୁଏ; ଅହିଂସାବ୍ରତୀ ସଦା ଯଜ୍ଞଫଳ ପାଏ। ଅହିଂସକ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣୀଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ମାତା ସମାନ, ପିତା ସମାନ।
