उपवासफलात्मकविधिः — Upavāsa as Yajña-Equivalent Merit

वैशम्पायन उवाच एवं ब्रुवाणं कौन्तेयं धर्मज्ञं धर्मतत्त्ववित्‌ । धर्मपुत्रमिदं वाक्‍्यं भीष्म: शान्तनवोडब्रवीत्‌

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

evaṁ bruvāṇaṁ kaunteyaṁ dharmajñaṁ dharmatattvavit |

dharmaputram idaṁ vākyaṁ bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavo ’bravīt ||

ବୈଶମ୍ପାୟନ କହିଲେ—ହେ ଜନମେଜୟ, ଧର୍ମଜ୍ଞ ଓ ଧର୍ମତତ୍ତ୍ୱବିଦ କୁନ୍ତୀପୁତ୍ର ଧର୍ମପୁତ୍ର ଯୁଧିଷ୍ଠିର ଏପରି ପଚାରିଲେ, ଶାନ୍ତନୁନନ୍ଦନ ଭୀଷ୍ମ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଏଭଳି କହିଲେ।
