अष्टम्यां सर्वपक्षाणां ब्रह्मचारी सदा भवेत्‌ | आक्रोशं परिवादं च पैशुन्यं च विवर्जयेत्‌

Transliteration

aṣṭamyāṃ sarvapakṣāṇāṃ brahmacārī sadā bhavet | ākrośaṃ parivādaṃ ca paiśunyaṃ ca vivarjayet |

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ସମସ୍ତ ପକ୍ଷର ଅଷ୍ଟମୀ ଦିନ ସଦା ବ୍ରହ୍ମଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ପାଳନ କରିବା ଉଚିତ। ଏବଂ ଆକ୍ରୋଶ, ପରିବାଦ (ନିନ୍ଦା) ଓ ପୈଶୁନ୍ୟ (ଚୁଗଲି/ପରନିନ୍ଦା)କୁ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବା ଉଚିତ।
