पितृन्‌ संतर्पयित्वा तु बलिं कुर्याद्‌ विधानतः । वैश्वदेवं ततः कुर्यात्‌ पश्चाद्‌ ब्राह्यगवाचनम्‌

Transliteration

pitṝn santarpayitvā tu baliṁ kuryād vidhānataḥ | vaiśvadevaṁ tataḥ kuryāt paścād brāhyagavācanam ||

Translation

ପ୍ରଥମେ ବିଧିମତେ ପିତୃମାନଙ୍କୁ ତର୍ପଣ କରି ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ କରି, ପରେ ଯଥାବିଧି ବଳି ଦେବା ଉଚିତ। ତାପରେ ବୈଶ୍ୱଦେବ କର୍ମ କରି, ଶେଷରେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ୍ୟ ଶିକ୍ଷାର ସ୍ୱାଧ୍ୟାୟ ଓ ଉପଦେଶ କରିବା—ଏହିପରି ଗୃହସ୍ଥଧର୍ମର କ୍ରମ।
