भीष्म उवाच अन्न ते वर्तयिष्यामि शृणु राजन्‌ यथाक्रमम्‌ । ऋषीणां वदतां पूर्व श्रुतमासीत्‌ यथा पुरा

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | anna te vartayiṣyāmi śṛṇu rājan yathākramam | ṛṣīṇāṃ vadatāṃ pūrvaṃ śrutam āsīt yathā purā ||

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ହେ ରାଜନ, ଏବେ ମୁଁ ଏହି ବିଷୟଟିକୁ କ୍ରମାନୁସାରେ କହିବି; ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାରେ ଶୁଣ। ପୂର୍ବକାଳରେ ପୁରାତନ ଋଷିମାନେ କହୁଥିବାବେଳେ ଯେପରି ମୁଁ ଶୁଣିଥିଲି, ସେହିପରି ତୁମକୁ କହୁଛି।
