ययाति-देवयानी-शर्मिष्ठा विवादः — Śukra’s Curse and the Disclosure of Lineage
sarva eva samāgamya śatakratum athābruvan | kālas te vikramasyādya jahi śatrūn purandara ||
The verse emphasizes kāla—acting at the right time. Valor is presented as a duty of leadership: when disorder or hostile forces threaten, decisive action becomes ethically required rather than optional.
A group gathers and collectively urges Indra (addressed by his epithets Śatakratu and Purandara) to display his prowess immediately and destroy the enemies, signaling an impending conflict and a call to leadership.
