भोजनीयानि पेयानि भक्ष्याणि विविधानि च । लेह्यान्यमृतकल्पानि चोष्याणि च तथार्जुन
bhojanīyāni peyāni bhakṣyāṇi vividhāni ca | lehyāny amṛtakalpāni coṣyāṇi ca tathārjuna ||
ଗନ୍ଧର୍ବ କହିଲେ— ଏଠାରେ ଭୋଜ୍ୟ ଆହାର, ପେୟ ପାନୀୟ, ଏବଂ ନାନାପ୍ରକାର ଚର୍ବ୍ୟ (ଚବାଇ ଖାଇବା) ଭକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଅଛି; ଅମୃତସଦୃଶ ସ୍ୱାଦର ଲେହ୍ୟ (ଚଟଣି ଆଦି) ଅଛି; ଏବଂ ଚୋଷ୍ୟ ବସ୍ତୁମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅଛନ୍ତି—ହେ ଅର୍ଜୁନ।
गन्धर्व उवाच
The verse highlights the cultural ethic of honoring a guest or esteemed person through generous offering—abundance presented with refinement—reflecting social dharma expressed as hospitality and proper reception.
A Gandharva addresses Arjuna and enumerates an array of refreshments—foods, drinks, chewables, lickables, and suckables—describing them as nectar-like, indicating a lavish offering or reception in the ongoing episode.
