वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that supreme faith (śraddhā)—especially in one’s teacher and training—combined with disciplined practice (yoga) produces excellence: agility and precision arise not merely from talent but from reverent commitment and sustained effort.
Vaiśampāyana describes a student/warrior’s progress in archery: through intense practice and strong faith, he becomes remarkably swift and adept at releasing arrows, retrieving/returning them in training, and accurately aiming and fixing them on the target.
