FAQs

It frames attainment of the “supreme abode” as the fruit of disciplined, righteous action aligned with Shiva’s order—implying that Linga-puja is not merely external ritual but must be supported by dharma and inner purification of the pashu (soul).

Shiva-tattva is implied as the “parama-sthāna,” the highest state/abode beyond bondage (pāśa). Shiva as Pati is the ultimate goal and the one whose sanction and grace make liberation effective.

The verse emphasizes karma disciplined by authoritative instruction (vacana)—a core Pāśupata orientation: practice (sādhana) and conduct (ācāra) performed as Shiva-ājñā, leading the pashu toward release from pāśa.
