भुवनकोशविन्यासनिर्णयः (ज्योतिर्गति-वृष्टिचक्र-वर्णनम्)

पर्यपृच्छेत् पतङ्गो ऽपि सौम्याशां चोत्तरे ऽहनि मध्ये तु पुष्करस्याथ भ्रमते दक्षिणायने

Transliteration

paryapṛcchet pataṅgo 'pi saumyāśāṃ cottare 'hani madhye tu puṣkarasyātha bhramate dakṣiṇāyane

Translation

ପତଙ୍ଗ (ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ) ମଧ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ତରାୟଣରେ ସୌମ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଗକୁ ଖୋଜି-ପଚାରି ଯାଉଥିବା ପରି ଲାଗେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଦକ୍ଷିଣାୟଣରେ ସେ ପୁଷ୍କରର ମଧ୍ୟକୁ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର କରି ଭ୍ରମଣ କରନ୍ତି ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଏ।
