अध्याय १०१: हैमवती-तपः, तारकवंश-उत्पातः, स्कन्द-प्रत्याशा, मदनदहनम्
तपसा च महादेव्याः पार्वत्याः परमेश्वरः वशीकृतो महादेवः सर्वभूतपतिर्भवः
tapasā ca mahādevyāḥ pārvatyāḥ parameśvaraḥ vaśīkṛto mahādevaḥ sarvabhūtapatirbhavaḥ
ମହାଦେବୀ ପାର୍ବତୀଙ୍କ ତପସ୍ୟାରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର—ମହାଦେବ, ଭବ, ସର୍ବଭୂତପତି—ବଶୀଭୂତ ହୋଇ ତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରସନ୍ନ ଓ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହୀ ହେଲେ।

It highlights tapas (disciplined austerity) as a direct means to invoke Śiva’s anugraha (grace), the inner principle behind fruitful Linga-pūjā—devotion becomes effective when supported by self-restraint and one-pointed intent.
Śiva is presented as Parameśvara and Sarvabhūtapati—Pati, the sovereign Lord of all pashus (souls/beings). Though unsurpassed, he becomes “vaśīkṛta” not by force but by compassionate responsiveness to sincere tapas and bhakti.
Tapas is central—an ascetic-yogic discipline aligned with Pāśupata orientation, where purification and steadfast practice prepare the pashu to receive the Pati’s grace.
