Transliteration

atha ca yāvatārdhena nabho-vīthyāṁ pracarati taṁ kālam ayanam ācakṣate.

Translation

ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଆକାଶପଥରେ ଅର୍ଧ ପରିକ୍ରମା କରିବାକୁ ଯେତେ ସମୟ ନିଏ, ସେହି କାଳକୁ ‘ଅୟନ’ (ଉତ୍ତରାୟଣ କିମ୍ବା ଦକ୍ଷିଣାୟଣ) କୁହାଯାଏ।
