taṁ nāradaḥ priyatamo rikthādānām anuvrataḥ śuśrūṣamāṇaḥ śīlena praśrayeṇa damena ca

ବ୍ରହ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପ୍ରିୟ ଉତ୍ତରାଧିକାରୀ ପୁତ୍ର ନାରଦ, ପିତାଙ୍କ ସେବାରେ ସଦା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ରହି, ଶୀଳ, ବିନୟ ଓ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟ-ନିଗ୍ରହ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପିତାଙ୍କ ଆଦେଶକୁ କଠୋରଭାବେ ଅନୁସରଣ କରନ୍ତି।
