Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rājasūya Resolve and the Slaying of Jarāsandha
hāhā-kāro mahān āsīn nihate magadheśvare pūjayām āsatur bhīmaṁ parirabhya jayācyatau
This verse states that when Jarasandha, the king of Magadha, was slain, a great lamentation arose, and Krishna (Achyuta) and Arjuna honored Bhima by embracing him for the victory.
Because Bhima accomplished the difficult task of defeating Jarasandha, removing a major obstacle to Yudhishthira’s righteous rule and the Rajasuya sacrifice; Krishna and Arjuna acknowledged his valor and service to dharma.
When a hard, righteous duty is completed, acknowledge and honor those who carried the main burden—gratitude and recognition strengthen unity and inspire continued service.
