Brahmā’s Prayers to Lord Kṛṣṇa (Brahmā-stuti) and the Restoration of Vraja’s Lunch Pastime
एषां घोषनिवासिनामुत भवान् किं देव रातेति न- श्चेतो विश्वफलात् फलं त्वदपरं कुत्राप्ययन् मुह्यति । सद्वेषादिव पूतनापि सकुला त्वामेव देवापिता यद्धामार्थसुहृत्प्रियात्मतनयप्राणाशयास्त्वत्कृते ॥ ३५ ॥
eṣāṁ ghoṣa-nivāsinām uta bhavān kiṁ deva rāteti naś ceto viśva-phalāt phalaṁ tvad-aparaṁ kutrāpy ayan muhyati sad-veṣād iva pūtanāpi sa-kulā tvām eva devāpitā yad-dhāmārtha-suhṛt-priyātma-tanaya-prāṇāśayās tvat-kṛte
ହେ ଦେବ! ବ୍ରଜର ଗୋଷ୍ଠବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣ ହିଁ ସମସ୍ତ ବରର ପରମ ଫଳ ଦେଉଛନ୍ତି; ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଅନ୍ୟ କେଉଁ ଫଳ କେଉଁଠି ମିଳିବ—ଭାବିଲେ ମୋ ମନ ମୋହିତ ହୁଏ। ପୂତନା ମଧ୍ୟ ଭକ୍ତିର ଛଦ୍ମବେଶ ଧରି ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ହିଁ ପାଇଲା; ତେବେ ଯେଉଁ ବ୍ରଜଭକ୍ତମାନେ ଘର, ଧନ, ସୁହୃଦ, ପ୍ରିୟଜନ, ଦେହ, ସନ୍ତାନ, ପ୍ରାଣ ଓ ହୃଦୟ ସବୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଅର୍ପଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣ ଆଉ କ’ଣ ଦେବେ?
This verse says their hearts do not seek any result apart from Kṛṣṇa Himself; for them He is everything—home, wealth, friend, beloved, self, child, life, and refuge—showing the pinnacle of exclusive devotion (ananya-bhakti).
Brahmā highlights Kṛṣṇa’s astonishing mercy: even Pūtanā, who came with harmful intent, attained a motherly position by His acceptance—so the reward for the loving Vrajavāsīs is beyond measure.
Make devotion single-pointed: instead of chasing many “fruits” (status, control, recognition), center life on remembrance and service to God as the primary goal and shelter.
