विराट्। कुतस्तौ जातौ कतमः सो अर्धः कस्माल्लोकात् कतमस्याः पृथिव्याः । वत्सौ विराजः सलिलादुदैतां तौ त्वा पृछामि कतरेण दुग्धा
virā́ṭ | kútaḥ táu jātáu katamáḥ só ardháḥ kásmāl lokā́t katamásyāḥ pṛthivyā́ḥ | vatsáu virā́jaḥ salilā́d údaitāṃ táu tvā pṛ́chāmi kataréṇa dúgdhā
Virāj! Whence were those two born? which is that half? from what world, from which Earth? Two calves of Virāj rose up from the waters: thee I ask—by which of them is the milking made?
ହେ ବିରାଟ୍! ସେ ଦୁଇଜଣ କେଉଁଠୁ ଜନ୍ମିଲେ? କେଉଁଟି ସେ ଅର୍ଧ? କେଉଁ ଲୋକରୁ, ଏହି ପୃଥିବୀର କେଉଁ ଭାଗରୁ? ବିରାଟଙ୍କ ଦୁଇଟି ବଛଡ଼ା ଜଳରୁ ଉଦିତ ହେଲେ; ମୁଁ ତୁମକୁ ପଚାରୁଛି—ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେଉଁଟି ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦୋହନ ହୁଏ?
