Sukta 2
निरिमां मात्रां मिमीमहे यथापरं न मासातै । शते शरत्सु नो पुरा
nírīmā́ṃ mā́trāṃ mimīmahe yáthā́paraṃ ná mā́sātai | śaté śáratsu no purā́
Out this measure we do mete, that it be not thereafter spent in months: a hundred autumns—so for us, as in the days of old.
ଆମେ ଏହି ମାତ୍ରାକୁ ବାହାରକୁ ମାପୁଛୁ, ଯେପରି ପରେ ଏହା ମାସମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କ୍ଷୟ ନ ହେଉ; ଆମ ପାଇଁ—ପୁରାତନ ଦିନମାନଙ୍କ ପରି—ଶତ ଶରଦ୍ଋତୁ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ।
