सुमङ्गली प्रतरणी गृहाणां सुशेवा पत्ये श्वशुराय शंभूः । स्योना श्वश्र्वै प्र गृहान् विशेमान्

IAST Transliteration

sumáṅgalī prá-taraṇī gr̥hā́ṇāṃ suśévā pátye śváśurāya śámbhūḥ | syónā śváśrvai prá gr̥hā́n viśemān ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Auspicious, bearing us safely through the houses, kindly in service—be thou a maker of peace to husband and to father-in-law. Gentle to thy mother-in-law, may we enter forth into the home.

Translation

ହେ ସୁମଙ୍ଗଳୀ, ଘରମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ଭାବେ ପାର କରାଇଦେବା ‘ପ୍ରତରଣୀ’ ହେଉ; ସେବାରେ ସୁଶୀଳା ହୋଇ ପତି ଓ ଶ୍ୱଶୁରଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଶାନ୍ତିକାରିଣୀ ହେଉ। ଶ୍ୱଶ୍ରୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ସୌମ୍ୟା ହୋଇ, ଆମେ ଗୃହମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରୁ।
