ଏହି ଖଣ୍ଡଟି ଗ୍ରନ୍ଥର ଏକ ‘ସନ୍ଧି’ ଭାବେ କାମ କରେ—ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ “ନକ୍ଷତ୍ର-ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟ” ଅଧ୍ୟାୟର ଔପଚାରିକ ସମାପ୍ତି ଘୋଷଣା କରି, ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରୟୋଗମୁଖୀ ଜ୍ୟୋତିଷ ଓ ବିଜୟ-ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀୟ ଅଂଶକୁ ପ୍ରବେଶର ସଙ୍କେତ ଦିଏ। ନକ୍ଷତ୍ର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଧାରଣ ସମାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ ପୁରାଣ ଶ୍ରେଣୀବିଭାଜନମୂଳକ ଖଗୋଳ/ଜ୍ୟୋତିଷ ତତ୍ତ୍ୱରୁ ଆଗକୁ ବଢ଼ି, ମୁହୂର୍ତ୍ତ, କାଳ-ଲକ୍ଷଣ ଓ ଗ୍ରହ-ନକ୍ଷତ୍ର ଘଟକଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ପ୍ରକୃତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ କିପରି ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ନିୟମ ଦିଗକୁ ଯାଏ। ଅଗ୍ନିପୁରାଣର ବିଶ୍ୱକୋଶୀୟ ପଦ୍ଧତିରେ ଏପରି ଉପସଂହାର କେବଳ ଲିପିକୀୟ ନୁହେଁ; ନକ୍ଷତ୍ର-ତତ୍ତ୍ୱରୁ ରାଜଧର୍ମ, ଅଭିଯାନ ଓ ସାର୍ବଜନୀନ ଜୀବନର ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି-ନିୟମ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପାଠ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଭଳି କ୍ରମଗତ ପ୍ରଗତିକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରେ।
