Mahādānas — The Great Gifts (महादानानि)
ଏହି ଅଧ୍ୟାୟ ଦାନ-ମାହାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ଶୃଙ୍ଖଳାରେ ଉପସଂହାର ଓ ସନ୍ଧିରୂପେ ରହି, ‘ମହାଦାନ’ ବିଷୟକ ଖଣ୍ଡକୁ ସମାପ୍ତ କରି ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ‘ନାନା-ଦାନ’ର ସୂକ୍ଷ୍ମ ତାଲିକା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବନା ତିଆରି କରେ। ପାଠଭେଦ ଓ ବିକଳ୍ପ ଉପଶୀର୍ଷକ (ଯଥା ‘କୃଷ୍ଣା ବୈତରଣୀ’ ସଂପୃକ୍ତ ପାଠ) ଦର୍ଶାଏ ଯେ ଦାନବିଷୟକ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ଆଚାର-ଉପବର୍ଗୀକରଣ ସହ ପ୍ରଚଳିତ ଥିଲା। ଆଗ୍ନେୟ ପଦ୍ଧତିରେ ମହାଦାନ କେବଳ ନୀତି-ଉପଦେଶ ନୁହେଁ; ନାମିତ ଦାନରୂପ, ଯୋଗ୍ୟତା-ଧାରଣା ଓ ଫଳଶ୍ରୁତି ସହିତ ଏକ ପ୍ରାୟୋଗିକ ଧର୍ମ-ପ୍ରଯୁକ୍ତି। ଅଧ୍ୟାୟର ସ୍ଥାନ ପୁରାଣର ବିଶ୍ୱକୋଶୀୟ ଶିକ୍ଷାକୁ ଦୃଢ କରି—ଉଚ୍ଚ ଶ୍ରେଣୀରୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନୀୟ ବିବରଣୀକୁ ଯାଇ, ଶୁଦ୍ଧି, ପିତୃଉନ୍ନତି ଓ ସାମାଜିକ ଉଦାରତାକୁ ମୋକ୍ଷଗତି ସହ ଯୋଡ଼େ।
