Yagyavalkya

यूनश्च परदारादि दारिद्र्यं च कुटुम्बिनः । पुत्रदुःखस्य नास्त्यन्तो धनी चेन्म्रियते तदा ॥२६॥

यूनः । च । पर-दार-आदि । दारिद्र्यम् । च । कुटुम्बिनः । पुत्र-दुःखस्य । न । अस्ति । अन्तः । धनी । चेत् । म्रियते । तदा ॥२६॥

yūnaś ca paradārādi dāridryaṃ ca kuṭumbinaḥ | putraduḥkhasya nāsty anto dhanī cen mriyate tadā ||26||

လူငယ်အတွက် အခြားသူ၏ ဇနီးနှင့်တူသော အလိုဆန္ဒလှုံ့ဆော်မှုများရှိ၏။ အိမ်ထောင်ရှင်အတွက်လည်း ဆင်းရဲခက်ခဲမှုရှိ၏။ သားသမီးကြောင့် ဖြစ်သော ဒုက္ခသည် အဆုံးမရှိ; ထို့ပြင် ချမ်းသာသူပင် နောက်ဆုံးတွင် သေဆုံးရသည်။

For the young man there is (the temptation of) another’s wife and the like; for the householder there is poverty as well. There is no end to the sorrow caused by children; and if one is wealthy, then he dies (even so).
