Mahavakya
सहस्रभानुमच्छुरितापूरितत्वादलिप्या पारावारपूर इव । नैषा समाधिः । नैषा योगसिद्धिः । नैषा मनोलयः । ब्रह्मैक्यं तत् । आदित्यवर्णं तमसस्तु पारे । सर्वाणि रूपाणि विचित्य धीरः । नामानि कृत्वाऽभिवदन् यदास्ते । धाता पुरस्ताद्यमुदाजहार । शक्रः प्रविद्वान् प्रदिशश्चतस्रः । तमेव विद्वानमृत इह भवति । नान्यः पन्था अयनाय विद्यते । यज्ञेन यज्ञमयजन्त देवाः । तानि धर्माणि प्रथमान्यासन् । ते ह नाकं महिमानः सचन्ते । यत्र पूर्वे साध्याः सन्ति देवाः ॥७–१०॥
सहस्र-भानुमत्-छुरित-आपूरितत्वात् । अलिप्या । पार-अवार-पूरः इव । न एषा समाधिः । न एषा योग-सिद्धिः । न एषा मनः-लयः । ब्रह्म-ऐक्यम् तत् । आदित्य-वर्णम् । तमसः तु पारे । सर्वाणि रूपाणि विचित्य । धीरः । नामानि कृत्वा । अभिवदन् । यत् आस्ते । धाता पुरस्तात् । यम् उदाजहार । शक्रः । प्रविद्वान् । प्रदिशः चतस्रः । तम् एव विद्वान् । अमृतः इह भवति । न अन्यः पन्थाः । अयनाय विद्यते । यज्ञेन यज्ञम् अयजन्त । देवाः । तानि धर्माणि । प्रथमानि आसन् । ते ह नाकम् । महिमानः सचन्ते । यत्र पूर्वे साध्याः सन्ति देवाः ॥
sahasrabhānumacchuritāpūritatvād alipyā pārāvārapūra iva | naiṣā samādhiḥ | naiṣā yogasiddhiḥ | naiṣā manolayaḥ | brahmaikyaṃ tat | ādityavarṇaṃ tamasastu pāre | sarvāṇi rūpāṇi vicitya dhīraḥ | nāmāni kṛtvā’bhivadan yadāste | dhātā purastād yam udājahāra | śakraḥ pravidvān pradiśaś catasraḥ | tam eva vidvān amṛta iha bhavati | nānyaḥ panthā ayanāya vidyate | yajñena yajñam ayajanta devāḥ | tāni dharmāṇi prathamāny āsan | te ha nākaṃ mahimānaḥ sacante | yatra pūrve sādhyāḥ santi devāḥ ||7–10||
အလင်းရောင်တစ်ထောင်ရောင်ခြည်ရှိသော နေရောင်၏ တောက်ပမှုက ပြည့်ဝစွာ စိမ့်ဝင်ပျံ့နှံ့နေသဖြင့် ၎င်းသည် မညစ်မကပ်—အဝေးကမ်းနှင့် အနီးကမ်း နှစ်ဖက်လုံးကို ပြည့်စေသော ရေလွှမ်းမိုးကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်သည်။ ဤသည်မှာ သမာဓိ မဟုတ်၊ ယောဂသိဒ္ဓိ မဟုတ်၊ စိတ်လျောကွယ်ခြင်း (မနောလယ) မဟုတ်—ဤဟာပင် ဘြဟ္မန်နှင့် တစ်တည်းဖြစ်ခြင်း (ဘြဟ္မအဲက്യ) ဖြစ်သည်။ သူသည် နေရောင်အရောင်တူ၍ အမှောင်ကို ကျော်လွန်နေသည်။ တည်ငြိမ်သော ဓီရ (ပညာရှိ) သည် ရုပ်သဏ္ဍာန်အားလုံးကို ခွဲခြားသိမြင်ကာ အမည်များကို ဖန်တီး၍ ထုတ်ဖော်ပြောဆိုသော်လည်း သက်သေတော်အဖြစ် သီးခြားတည်နေသည်။ ဓာတာ (ဖန်ဆင်းရှင်) သည် အစကတည်းက သူ့ကို ကြေညာခဲ့ပြီး၊ သိမြင်သူ သက္ကရ (အိန္ဒြာ) သည် လေးဘက်လုံးသို့ ကြေညာ하였다။ သူ့ကိုသာ သိလျှင် ဤနေရာ၌ပင် အမတဖြစ်သည်; မောက္ခသို့ သွားရာ အခြားလမ်း မရှိ။ ယဇ్ఞဖြင့် ဒေဝတားတို့သည် ယဇ्ञကိုပင် ပူဇော်ခဲ့ကြပြီး၊ ထိုသည် ပထမဓမ္မများ ဖြစ်သည်။ ထိုသူတို့သည် ကောင်းကင်၏ မဟိမကို ရောက်ကြပြီး၊ အရင်က စာဓျာ ဒေဝတားတို့ နေထိုင်ရာ အရပ်၌ ဖြစ်သည်။
Because it is filled and pervaded by the (radiance) of the thousand-rayed (Sun), it is untainted—like a flood that fills both the farther and nearer shores. This is not samādhi; this is not yogic attainment; this is not dissolution of mind: that is Brahman-unity. (He is) of solar hue, beyond darkness. The steadfast one, having discerned all forms, having fashioned names, and uttering them, remains otherwise (as the witness). The Creator proclaimed Him from the beginning; Indra, the knower, (proclaimed Him) in the four directions. Knowing Him alone, one becomes immortal here; there is no other path for going (to liberation). By sacrifice the gods worshipped the Sacrifice; those were the first ordinances. They indeed attained the greatness of heaven, where the former Sādhyas, the gods, are.
