पुराणश्रवणप्रस्तावः
Prologue to the Recitation of the Śaiva Purāṇa
इदं परमिदं नेति विवादः सुमहानभूत् । तेऽभिजग्मुर्विधातारं ब्रह्माणं प्रष्टुमव्ययम्
idaṃ paramidaṃ neti vivādaḥ sumahānabhūt | te'bhijagmurvidhātāraṃ brahmāṇaṃ praṣṭumavyayam
သူတို့အကြား၌ “ဤသည် အမြင့်ဆုံး” ဟု တစ်ဖက်က ဆို၍ အခြားဖက်က “မဟုတ်၊ ဤသည် မဟုတ်” ဟု ပြန်ဆိုသဖြင့် အလွန်ကြီးမားသော အငြင်းပွားမှု ဖြစ်ပွား하였다။ ထို့ကြောင့် မပျက်မယွင်းသော ဖန်ဆင်းရှင် ဗြဟ္မာကို မေးမြန်းရန် သူတို့ ချဉ်းကပ်သွားကြသည်။
