Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Significance: Bhasma-dhāraṇa and rudrākṣa-dhāraṇa are presented as daily Śaiva marks that purify the practitioner and orient the bound soul (paśu) toward Pati through constant smaraṇa.
Type: stotra
It teaches that outer Shaiva marks (bhasma and Rudrākṣa) should be grounded in inner Śiva-smaraṇa; remembrance of Pati (Śiva) sanctifies daily life and turns routine action toward liberation.
Bhasma and Rudrākṣa are classic supports for Saguna Śiva-upāsanā; they prepare the devotee’s body-mind for reverent approach to the Liṅga through purity, identity with Śiva, and continuous recollection.
Complete daily duties, then begin with Śiva-smaraṇa (often with the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and afterward wear/apply bhasma and don Rudrākṣa as a daily Shaiva discipline.
