Sukta 2.33
स्तुहि श्रुतं गर्तसदं युवानं मृगं न भीममुपहत्नुमुग्रम् । मृळा जरित्रे रुद्र स्तवानोऽन्यं ते अस्मन्नि वपन्तु सेनाः ॥
stuhí śrutáṃ garta-sádaṃ yúvānaṃ mṛgáṃ ná bhīmám upa-hatnúm ugrám | mṛḷā́ jaritré rudra stavā́nó ’nyáṃ te asmán ní vapantu sénāḥ ||
Praise the renowned one who sits in the deep, the youthful, the terrible like a wild beast, the intense who strikes down. O Rudra, when praised, be gracious to the singer; let your onsets and hostilities fall away elsewhere, not upon us.
