After the departure of Bharata, mighty Rama and Lakshmana continued to serve their god-like father.
Reverence to sages and compassion toward parents: dharma begins with honouring spiritual authority and responding to a parent’s distress.
Rāma observes Daśaratha’s agitation and, after greeting the sages, prepares to inquire and respond.
Sensitivity and respectful conduct—Rāma balances deference to sages with attentive concern for his father.
