हेमन्तवर्णनम् तथा भरतधर्मनिष्ठा-चिन्तनम्

एते हि समुपासीना विहगा जलचारिणः।नावगाहन्ति सलिलमप्रगल्भा इवाहवम्।।।।
ete hi samupāsīnā vihagā jalacāriṇaḥ |
nāvagāhanti salilam apragalbhā ivāhavam ||
ရေငှက်တို့သည် အနီးကပ် စုဝေးထိုင်နေကြသော်လည်း ရေထဲသို့ မငုပ်ဆင်းကြ—စစ်မြေပြင်သို့ မဝင်ရဲသော ကြောက်ရွံ့သည့် စစ်သူရဲတို့ကဲ့သို့ပင်။
