आश्रमे यत्र यो धर्मो रक्षणीयः सुपंडितैः । विवाहोऽयमतो मन्ये न धर्म इति कन्यकाः
āśrame yatra yo dharmo rakṣaṇīyaḥ supaṃḍitaiḥ | vivāho'yamato manye na dharma iti kanyakāḥ
“မည်သည့်အာရှရမ၌မဆို ပညာရှိကြီးများက ကာကွယ်ထိန်းသိမ်းရမည့် ဓမ္မရှိသကဲ့သို့၊ ထို့ကြောင့် ဤ ‘လက်ထပ်ခြင်း’ သည် ဓမ္မနှင့် မကိုက်ညီဟု ကျွန်မတို့ ယူဆသည်,” ဟု မိန်းကလေးများ ပြောကြား하였다။

Social customs and rituals are not automatically righteous; they must align with contextual duty (āśrama-dharma) and withstand the scrutiny of the learned and principled.
