Unspecified (contextual narrator within Sṛṣṭikhaṇḍa; verse functions as a metaphoric description).

Concept: The manifest ‘I’ (ahaṃkāra) is only froth upon the deeper waters of unmanifest bliss; cultivate śīla and offering-mindedness to sink beneath surface identity.

Application: Practice daily ‘offering’ (food, speech, work) to Nārāyaṇa; observe ego as transient foam during japa; choose conduct (śīla) that leaves a ‘fragrance’—truthfulness, non-harm, humility.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A vast cosmic ocean appears as a living allegory: its surface glitters with white froth shaped like the word ‘aham’, while beneath, deep indigo waters glow with silent, unmanifest bliss. FAQs

The verse uses a cosmic metaphor: reality (or the manifested cosmos) is pictured as a vast world-tree sustained by virtue and sacrificial offerings, implying a structure that supports all realms of existence.

It contrasts the subtle ground of existence (avyakta—unmanifest) experienced as pure bliss with the surface agitation of individuality (vyakta ahaṃkāra—manifest ego), likened to foam that appears on water.

It suggests that virtue (śīla) and sacred giving/ritual offering (āhārya) are sustaining forces that purify and uphold the world-order, making spiritual life beneficial not only personally but cosmically.
