Sūta (narrating the Uttara-Bhāga discourse; framed within the Narada–Sanatkumāra teaching tradition)
Vrata: Ekadashi (Hari-vāsara)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It contrasts sacred duties (tīrtha-yātrā and honoring Hari’s holy day) with grave sins (defiling the Veda and harming brāhmaṇas), urging the listener toward purity, reverence, and dharmic conduct.
By highlighting Hari-vāsara as a day that should be kept holy (typically through fasting, restraint, and worship), it frames devotion to Viṣṇu as lived discipline—bhakti expressed through vrata and moral restraint.
It emphasizes śāstra-maryādā (scriptural boundaries): correct observance of sacred days (kalpa/ācāra) and protection of Vedic authority—practical dharma grounded in ritual discipline rather than a technical lesson in a single Vedāṅga.
