Narada (teaching within a Vaiṣṇava-vrata context; framed as admonition against breaking a fast)
Vrata: Ekadashi
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It stresses the sanctity of Vaiṣṇava fast-days: honoring Vishnu through restraint is treated as dharma, while violating the fast is described as a grave spiritual fault (doṣa) with painful consequences.
Bhakti is expressed here as loyal observance—keeping a Vishnu-centered vow despite social or emotional pressure, showing single-pointed commitment (niṣṭhā) to the Lord’s discipline.
Kalpa/ritual discipline is implied: correct observance of vrata rules (what to do on specific sacred days) and the principle that insistence leading to vratabhaṅga is a serious fault in religious practice.
