वहाँ सारसोंसे घिरे हुए जलाशयका स्वच्छ जल देखकर नकुलको उसे पीनेकी इच्छा हुई। इतनेमें ही आकाशसे उनके कानोंमें एक स्पष्ट वाणी सुनायी दी ।।

Transliteration

yakṣa uvāca | mā tāta sāhasaṁ kārṣīr mamāyaṁ pūrva-parigrahaḥ | praśnān uktvā tu mādreya tataḥ piba harasva ca ||

Translation

ယက္ခက ပြော၏— «သားရေ၊ အလျင်အမြန် မလုပ်လော့။ ဤရေကန်သည် ငါက အရင်ကတည်းက ပိုင်ဆိုင်ထားပြီးသား။ မာဒရီ၏သားရေ၊ ငါ့မေးခွန်းများကို အရင်ဖြေပြီးမှ သောက်လော့၊ ထို့ပြင် ရေကို ယူသွားလည်း ရ၏»။
