मातापितृपूजन-प्रधानधर्मः (Primacy of Filial Service) — Mārkaṇḍeya’s Account of the Vyādha’s Instruction
ददाह भरतश्रेष्ठ सर्वलोकभवाय वै | सो<स्त्रेण दग्ध्वा राजर्षि: कुवलाश्वञो महासुरम्
dadāha bharataśreṣṭha sarvalokabhavāya vai | so 'streṇa dagdhvā rājarṣiḥ kuvalāśvo mahāsuram ||
မာရကဏ္ဍေယက ပြောသည်– «အို ဘာရတတို့အနက် အမြတ်ဆုံး၊ လောကအားလုံး၏ ကောင်းကျိုးအတွက် ရာဇဣသိ ကုဝလာရှွဝသည် အာဆုရကြီးကို မီးလောင်အောင် လောင်ကျွမ်းစေ하였다။ မိမိ၏ လက်နက်ဖြင့် မီးရှို့ကာ အများအကျိုးကို ခြိမ်းခြောက်နေသော အန္တရာယ်ကို ဖယ်ရှား하였다»။
