ब्राह्मणानुयात्रा—शौनकोपदेशः

Brāhmaṇas Follow into Exile and Śaunaka’s Instruction

अष्टाज्जां बुद्धिमाहुर्या सर्वाश्रेयोडभिघातिनीम्‌ । श्रुतिस्मृतिसमायुक्तां राजन्‌ सा त्वय्यवस्थिता,“राजन! योगके आठ अंग--यम, नियम, आसन, प्राणायाम, प्रत्याहार, धारणा, ध्यान और समाधिसे सम्पन्न, समस्त अमंगलोंका नाश करनेवाली तथा श्रुतियों और स्मृतियोंके स्वाध्यायसे भलीभाँति दृढ़ की हुई जो उत्तम बुद्धि कही गयी है, वह आपमें स्थित है

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

aṣṭāṅgāṃ buddhim āhur yā sarvaśreyodabhighātinīm |

śruti-smṛti-samāyuktāṃ rājan sā tvayy avasthitā ||

ဝိုင်သမ္ပာယနက ပြောသည်— “အို မဟာရာဇာ၊ ထိုအထူးကောင်းမြတ်သော ခွဲခြားသိမြင်မှုသည် ယောဂ၏ အင်္ဂါရှစ်ပါးဖြင့် ပြည့်စုံသော ‘အင်္ဂါရှစ်ပါးရှိသော’ ဉာဏ်ဟု ဆိုကြ၏။ အကျိုးစစ်ကို တားဆီးသော အရာအားလုံးကို ချေမှုန်းနိုင်သည်။ ရှရုတိနှင့် စမృతိတို့၏ သင်ယူမှုနှင့် လမ်းညွှန်မှုဖြင့် ခိုင်မာလာသော ထိုပညာသည် သင်၌ တည်ရှိနေ၏” ဟု။
