पदातयश्च ये शूरा: कार्मुकासिगदाधरा: । सहस््रशो<न्वयु: पश्चादग्रतश्न सहस्रश:,धनुष, बाण, खड़ग और गदा धारण करनेवाले जो पैदल सैनिक थे, वे सहस्रोंकी संख्यामें सेनाके आगे और पीछे चलते थे
padātayaś ca ye śūrāḥ kārmukāsigadādharāḥ | sahasraśo 'nvayuḥ paścād agrataś ca sahasraśaḥ ||
ဝိုင်ရှမ္ပာယန မိန့်ကြားသည်— လေး၊ ဓားနှင့် ဂဒါ ကိုင်ဆောင်ထားသော သတ္တိရှိ ခြေလျင်စစ်သည်တို့သည် ထောင်ချီအရေအတွက်ဖြင့် စစ်တပ်၏ရှေ့နှင့် နောက်တွင် လျှောက်လှမ်းကြကာ တပ်မတော် ရွေ့လျားသည့်အခါ ကာကွယ်ရေးအကာအရံများအဖြစ် တည်ရှိကြ၏။
