अध्याय १६९ — भीष्मस्य पाण्डवसेनाप्रशंसा तथा शिखण्डिविषये नियमः
Bhīṣma’s Appraisal of Pāṇḍava Forces and His Constraint Regarding Śikhaṇḍin
सम्बन्धकेन राजेन्द्र तौ तु वीर्यबलान्वयात् । आर्यवृत्तौ महेष्वासौ स्नेहपाशसितावुभौ
sambandhakena rājendra tau tu vīryabalānvayāt | āryavṛttau maheṣvāsau snehapāśasitāv ubhau ||
«အို မင်းကြီး၊ ဆက်နွယ်မှု (သွေးသား/မဟာမိတ်) ကြောင့် ထိုမင်းနှစ်ပါးသည် သတ္တိနှင့် အင်အား ပြည့်စုံကြသည်။ သူတို့သည် မြတ်သော အကျင့်အကြံ (ārya-vṛtta) ကို ထိန်းသိမ်းသော မဟာလေးသမားများ ဖြစ်ကြပြီး၊ ပाण्डဝတို့နှင့် ဆက်စပ်မှုကြောင့် ချစ်ခင်မေတ္တာ၏ ကြိုးပန်းဖြင့် နှစ်ပါးစလုံး ခိုင်ခိုင်မာမာ ချည်နှောင်ထားခံရသည်»။
