Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 133 — A Mother’s Counsel to Saṃjaya

यो वै कश्चिदिहाजात: क्षत्रिय: क्षत्रकर्मवित्‌ । भयाद्‌ वृत्तिसमीक्षो वा न नमेदिह कस्यचित्‌

yo vai kaścid ihājātaḥ kṣatriyaḥ kṣatrakarmavit | bhayād vṛttisamīkṣo vā na named iha kasyacit ||

ဤလောက၌ က္ෂတ္ရိယအဖြစ် မွေးဖွားလာပြီး က္ෂတ္ရိယကာရမ (စစ်သူရဲ၏တာဝန်) ကို အမှန်တကယ် သိသူ မည်သူမဆို—ကြောက်ရွံ့မှုကြောင့်ဖြစ်စေ၊ အသက်မွေးဝမ်းကျောင်းကို မျှော်ကြည့်၍ဖြစ်စေ—ဤလောက၌ မည်သူ့ရှေ့မှ မခေါင်းညွှတ်နိုင်။ က္ෂတ္ရိယ၏ သမာဓိကို တိုင်းတာသည်မှာ မလှုပ်မယှက်သော ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာပင် ဖြစ်သည်—အသက်ရှင်ရေး၊ အကျိုးအမြတ်၊ သို့မဟုတ် ခြိမ်းခြောက်မှုတို့က ဓမ္မကို ချိုးဖောက်သည့် အညံ့ခံမှုကို မဝယ်နိုင်။
