Virāṭa-sabhāyāṃ Saṃniveśaḥ — Assembly at Virāṭa’s Hall and Kṛṣṇa’s Diplomatic Counsel
तच्चिन्तयध्वं कुरुपुड़॒वानां धर्म्य च युक्ते च यशस्करं च । अधर्मयुक्तं न च कामयेत राज्यं सुराणामपि धर्मराज:
tac cintayadhvaṁ kurupuṅgavānāṁ dharmyaṁ ca yuktaṁ ca yaśaskaraṁ ca | adharmayuktaṁ na ca kāmayeta rājyaṁ surāṇām api dharmarājaḥ ||
ကုရုတို့အနက် အထွတ်အမြတ်ဖြစ်သော သူတို့အတွက် လုပ်ဆောင်ရမည့် လမ်းစဉ်ကို စဉ်းစားကြလော့—ဓမ္မနှင့် ကိုက်ညီ၍ တရားမျှတကာ ဂုဏ်သတင်းတိုးပွားစေမည့် လမ်းစဉ်ကို။ မတရားသော နည်းလမ်းဖြင့် ရသော နိုင်ငံတော်ကို မလိုလားသင့်။ ဓမ္မရာဇ ယုဓိဋ္ဌိရသည် ဓမ္မကို ချိုးဖောက်၍ ရလာသော အာဏာပိုင်မှုကို—နတ်တို့၏ နယ်မြေဖြစ်စေကာမူ—မလိုလားမည် မဟုတ်။

Political success must be pursued only through dharma: a plan should be just (yukta), righteous (dharmya), and honor-enhancing (yaśaskara). Even immense power—symbolized by the gods’ kingdom—is to be rejected if it is gained through adharma.
Śrī Kṛṣṇa urges the assembled decision-makers to find a settlement or strategy that benefits the foremost Kurus while remaining within dharma. He highlights Yudhiṣṭhira’s ethical stance: he will not accept sovereignty if it requires unrighteous means.
