Chapter 72 — Royal Duty: protection of subjects, taxation, punishment, and appointments
धर्मनिष्ठान् श्रुतवतो वेदब्रतसमाहितान् । अर्चयित्वा यजेथास्त्वं गृहे गुणवतो द्विजान्
dharmaniṣṭhān śrutavato vedavratasaṃhitān | arcayitvā yajethāstvaṃ gṛhe guṇavato dvijān ||
ဘီష္မက ပြောသည်– «ဓမ္မ၌ တည်ကြည်၍ သာသနာပညာကို ကြားသိကျွမ်းကျင်ကာ ဝေဒဗြတများကို စည်းကမ်းတကျ လိုက်နာသော ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာရှိ ဘြာဟ္မဏများသည် သင်၏အိမ်သို့ ရောက်လာသော် ချက်ချင်းထ၍ ဂုဏ်ပြုကြိုဆိုလော့။ လေးစားစွာ လက်ခံကာ ခြေတော်၌ ဦးညွှတ်ပြီး ထုံးတမ်းအတိုင်း ပူဇော်အာရ္ဍနာ ပြုလော့။ ထို့နောက် ပုရောဟိတ်၏ လမ်းညွှန်မှုဖြင့် လိုအပ်သော ရိတုအခမ်းအနားနှင့် အိမ်ထောင်ရေးကိစ္စတို့ကို ဆောင်ရွက်လော့။ ဤသို့ သီလဂုဏ်ရှိသူတို့ကို ရိုသေခြင်းနှင့် ဝေဒစည်းကမ်းကို ထောက်ပံ့ခြင်းသည် တရားသော အိမ်ထောင်ဘဝ၏ အခြေခံဖြစ်သည်»။
