Chapter 72 — Royal Duty: protection of subjects, taxation, punishment, and appointments
अर्थमूलो5पि हिंसां च कुरुते स्वयमात्मन: । करैरशास्त्रदृष्टेर्हि मोहात् सम्पीडयन् प्रजा:
arthamūlo 'pi hiṃsāṃ ca kurute svayam ātmanaḥ | karair aśāstradṛṣṭer hi mohāt sampīḍayan prajāḥ ||
ဘိဿမက ဆိုသည်– «ငွေကြေးကို လောဘကြီးသော်လည်း မင်းသည် မောဟကြောင့် သာသ္တရညွှန်ကြားချက်နှင့် ဆန့်ကျင်သော အခွန်ကို ကောက်ခံကာ ပြည်သူကို ဖိနှိပ်လျှင်၊ ထိုသည် မိမိကိုယ်ကိုပင် အကြမ်းဖက်ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ မိမိလက်ဖြင့်ပင် မိမိပျက်စီးခြင်းကို ဆောင်ကြဉ်းသည်»။
