एतन्मे संशयं विप्र हृदि शल्यमिवार्पितम्‌ । छिन्धीतिहासकथनात्‌ पर कौतूहलं हि मे

Transliteration

etan me saṁśayaṁ vipra hṛdi śalyam ivārpitam | chindhīti hāsakathanāt para kautūhalaṁ hi me ||

Translation

ဇနမေဇယက ပြောသည်—“ဗြာဟ္မဏာရေ၊ ဤသံသယသည် ကျွန်ုပ်၏နှလုံးထဲတွင် ဆူးတစ်ချောင်းကဲ့သို့ စိုက်ဝင်နေပါသည်။ ရှေးဟောင်းအတ္ထုပ္ပတ္တိ (itihāsa) ကို ပြောပြ၍ ထိုသံသယကို ဖြတ်တောက်ပေးပါ။ ဤအကြောင်းအရာ၏ အမှန်တရားကို သိလိုစိတ်က ကျွန်ုပ်၌ အလွန်ပြင်းထန်ပါသည်။”
