Chapter 29
सांकृते रन्तिदेवस्य यां रात्रिमवसन् गृहे । आलकभ्यन्त शतं गाव: सहस्राणि च विंशति:
sāṅkṛte rantidevasya yāṁ rātrim avasan gṛhe | ālakabhyanta śataṁ gāvaḥ sahasrāṇi ca viṁśatiḥ ||
ဝါယုက ပြောသည်— «သင်္ကృతိ၏ သား မင်း ရန္တိဒေဝ၏ အိမ်၌ ဧည့်သည်အစုအဝေးကြီး တည်းခိုသော ထိုညတွင်၊ နွားတစ်သိန်းနှစ်သောင်း (၁၂၀,၀၀၀) ကို အလွန်ပေါများစွာ ပေးအပ်လှူဒါန်းခဲ့သည်»။
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights dharma through extraordinary hospitality and charity: a righteous king treats guests as worthy recipients and gives without stint, illustrating that ethical kingship is grounded in generosity and care for others.
Vāyu narrates an episode about King Rantideva: when many guests stayed at his home for a night, vast gifts—symbolized by an immense number of cows—were distributed, emphasizing the scale of his giving.
