अध्याय २८६ — पराशर-उपदेशः
Ethical Restraint, Mortality, and Karma
सहस्रिणो5पि जीवन्ति जीवन्ति शतिनस्तथा । शाकेन चान्ये जीवन्ति पश्यास्मानपि जीवत:
sahasriṇo 'pi jīvanti jīvanti śatino tathā | śākena cānye jīvanti paśyāsmān api jīvataḥ ||
ထောင်ချီသော ငွေရှိသူလည်း အသက်ရှင်ကြသည်။ ရာချီသာရှိသူလည်း ထိုနည်းတူ အသက်ရှင်ကြသည်။ အချို့ကတော့ အရွက်ဟင်းသီးဟင်းရွက်သာဖြင့်ပင် အသက်မွေးကြသည်။ ထိုနည်းတူ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကိုလည်း အသက်ရှင်နိုင်သူဟု မြင်ပါ—အလွန်အကျွံမလိုဘဲ ရိုးရိုးစားသောက်ဖြင့်လည်း ရပ်တည်နိုင်သည်ဟု။ အသက်နှင့် ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာသည် ငွေကြေးပေါ် မမူတည်ကြောင်းကို ဆိုလိုသည်။
