अध्याय २८६ — पराशर-उपदेशः
Ethical Restraint, Mortality, and Karma
अगाधाश्षाप्रतिष्ठाक्ष॒ गतिमन्तश्ष नारद । अन्धा जडाशक्ष जीवन्ति पश्यास्मानपि जीवत:
agādhāḥ apratiṣṭhāś ca gatimantaś ca nārada | andhā jaḍāś ca jīvanti paśyāsmān api jīvataḥ ||
«အို နာရဒရေ! အလွန်နက်ရှိုင်းသော ရှုပ်ထွေးမှုထဲ ကျရောက်ပြီး အခြေခံတည်ရာမရှိသော်လည်း တိုးတက်သွားရန် အင်အားတစ်ခုက တွန်းပို့နေသော—မျက်ကန်း၍ ဉာဏ်မပြည့်သူတို့ပင်—ဤလောက၌ အသက်ရှင်နိုင်ကြသည်။ ငါတို့ကိုလည်း ကြည့်လော့—ထိုနည်းတူပင် ငါတို့လည်း အသက်ရှင်နေကြသည်။»
