Kapila–Cow Dialogue: Authority of Householder and Renunciant Dharmas
यदा न स चलत्येव स्थाणुभूतो महातपा: । ततस्तौ सुखविश्व॒स्तौ सुखं तत्रोषतुस्तदा
bhīṣma uvāca | yadā na sa calatyeva sthāṇubhūto mahātapāḥ | tatastau sukhaviśvastau sukhaṃ tatroṣatustadā ||
ဘီရှ္မက ပြော၏— မဟာတပသီသည် သစ်ငုတ်တုံးကဲ့သို့ လုံးဝမလှုပ်မယှက် နေသဖြင့်၊ ထိုငှက်နှစ်ကောင်သည် အပြည့်အဝ ယုံကြည်စိတ်ချလာကာ လုံခြုံသကဲ့သို့ ခံစားရပြီး ထိုနေရာ၌ပင် သက်သာပျော်ရွှင်စွာ နေထိုင်ခဲ့ကြသည်။
भीष्म उवाच
Steady self-restraint and non-threatening conduct (even expressed as complete stillness) can create safety and trust; dharma is shown not only by words but by a presence that removes fear from others.
A great ascetic remains perfectly motionless like a stump; seeing that he will not harm them, two birds become fully reassured and settle there, living comfortably in that place.
