Adhyāya 214: Tapas Redefined—Perpetual Discipline, Hospitality, and the Ethics of Eating (तपः-निरूपणम्, विघसाशी-अतिथिप्रिय-धर्मः)
योषितां न कथा क्षाव्या न निरीक्ष्या निरम्बरा: । कथज्वचिद् दर्शनादासां दुर्बलानां विशेद्रज:
yoṣitāṁ na kathā kṣāvyā na nirīkṣyā nirambarāḥ | kathañcid darśanād āsāṁ durbalānāṁ viśed rajaḥ ||
ဘိဿမက မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «မိန်းမတို့အကြောင်း စကားဝိုင်းတွင် မလွန်ကဲစွာ မပြောဆိုရ။ အဝတ်မပါသော အခြေအနေတွင်လည်း မကြည့်ရှုရ။ အကြောင်းမဲ့မဟုတ်—မတော်တဆ အဝတ်မပါသော အခြေအနေကို မြင်မိလျှင်၊ ကိုယ်ထိန်းချုပ်မှု အားနည်းသူတို့၏ စိတ်ထဲသို့ ရဇသ (rajas) —အလိုဆန္ဒနှင့် တွယ်တာမှု—ဝင်ရောက်လာတတ်သည်။»
