मनस्त्वपद्ठतं पूर्वमिन्द्रियार्थनिदर्शकम्‌ । न समक्षगुणापेक्षि निर्गुणस्य निदर्शकम्‌

Transliteration

manas tv apahṛtaṁ pūrvam indriyārtha-nidarśakam | na samakṣa-guṇāpekṣi nirguṇasya nidarśakam ||

Translation

ဘီရှ္မက ဆိုသည်– အာရုံခံအရာဝတ္ထုတို့ကို ညွှန်ပြပေးရာ အလုပ်ရှိသော စိတ်သည်၊ အဲဒီအရာဝတ္ထုတို့ဆီသို့ အစကတည်းက ဆွဲခေါ်သွားခံထားရလျှင်၊ ထိုအခါ အရည်အသွေးမဲ့သော သတ္တဝါတရား (နိရ္ဂုဏ) ကို မဖော်ပြနိုင်တော့။ အာရုံဝတ္ထုတို့၏ ဂုဏ်သတ္တိများကို မှီခိုနေသော စိတ်သည် နိရ္ဂုဏတတ္တဝါကို တိုက်ရိုက်မြင်နိုင်စွမ်း မရှိ။
