Doctrine of Creation from the Unmanifest ‘Mānasa’
न बिभेति यदा चायं यदा चास्मान्न बिभ्यति । यदा नेच्छति न देष्टि ब्रह्म सम्पद्यते तदा
na bibheti yadā cāyaṃ yadā cāsmān na bibhyati | yadā necchati na deṣṭi brahma sampadyate tadā ||
မည်သူကိုမျှ မကြောက်ရွံ့သကဲ့သို့၊ မိမိကြောင့်လည်း အခြားသူတို့ မကြောက်ရွံ့ရသောအခါ၊ ထို့ပြင် အရာဝတ္ထုတို့ကို မလိုချင်သကဲ့သို့ မမုန်းတီးသည့်အခါ— ထိုအခါ ဘြဟ္မန် (Brahman) အမြင့်ဆုံးအမှန်တရားကို ရောက်ရှိ၏။
ब्राह्मण उवाच
Liberation is marked by a purified inner life and a harmless social presence: one is fearless, does not intimidate others, and is free from both craving (icchā) and hatred (dveṣa). Such equanimity and non-violence are presented as direct conditions for attaining Brahman.
In Shanti Parva’s instruction on dharma and liberation, a Brahmin speaker describes the qualities of a realized person. The verse is not about an external event but a doctrinal characterization: the sage-like individual becomes established in Brahman when fear, the causing of fear, desire, and aversion have ceased.
